We are pleased to unveil ZK 3.6.3 which brings about improvements in the performance of applications in addition to introducing several new features such as new charts, new Menu functionality, positional improvements and over 70 bugs fixed.

Pablo Hernán Giménez and juan Pablo Francisconi from Vivatia describe the integration of JApplets and Zk in order to build web applications with AWT and Swing.

Nowadays application development is a matter of dealing with a large number of technologies, libraries, frameworks, etc. You typically
have to put together things such as Hibernate or JPA with LDAP directories, content repositories and with ZK etc.

To handle this we can use JavATE.

Last month I posted a Small Talk discussing the use of ZK Calendar with a database. Since then I have been working closely with ZK Calendar and thought I would share another way of achieving the same effect. The implementation hinges on the extending the AbstractCalendarModel which provides a more OO approach.
